The first harvest. Midsummer is passing, the tiny seeds we planted are starting to bear their fruit. The fields of wheat will be harvested and made into our breads. Make a loaf of bread into the shape of the sun to represent the God. Corn dollies can be made to represent the Goddess. Take them into ritual. Give thanks for they have provided. A simple feast of fruits, produce that is locally grown and harvested, breads (the altar bread may be shared and eaten) to enjoy with your group after ritual. Your ritual may include yourself and a friend, whatever the size it is still a time to feast.
We have been in circle at Lugnassadh/Lammas with a large group of people. Each one would take their turn and share with the others what they were personally thankful for. Many times we think what we are thankful for, which is very important, but speaking aloud and sharing with others has a very powerful impact on ourselves.
